Kick Starting Your Non-LSAT Prep Day of Revelry!

Alright, if you haven't already put those pencils down and stopped your LSAT prep for the February LSAT (assuming of course that you are taking it tomorrow and not on Monday), then do it now! You aren't going to gain anything by tiring and stressing yourself out today. Instead, why not take this last day before the February LSAT to relax? You know, as well as I, that one extra day of studying will in no way make or break your score. However, one extra day of relaxation and revelry might help boost your stamina and spirits for tomorrow!

You've put in hard work these past few months, tirelessly going through Logical Reasoning sections and analyzing Reading Comprehension passage after passage. Think back on your LSAT prep time fondly and know that soon this chapter of your pre-law school life will come to a close!

Remember to get everything you need for tomorrow packed and ready. That includes your ids, pencils, 1-gallon ziplock bag, directions to your testing center, and layered clothing! Don't forget to pack a snack and a water bottle for your break (make sure your water bottle and snack fit in your ziplock!). And now, as your LSAT prep comes to a close, I'd like to begin your wondrous, unproductive day by chatting with you about some everyday things you never knew had names. Novel, right? So close that Logic Game section, sit back, and let the revelry of an LSAT prep-free day begin!

FIVE EVERYDAY THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW HAD NAMES:

  1. Lunule
This is the white crescent shaped part of the top of your nail. Yes, that actually had a name!
  2. Crepuscular Rays
These are the rays of sunlight coming from a certain point in the sky. Usually these are the rays people see in the sky and Instagram with crazy filters. You know the ones! Now you can call them by their actual name next time you see them on your feed.
  3. Muntin
This is the strip separating windowpanes. Not really sure why we'd ever need this to be named, but now you know!
  4. Desire Path
This is a path created by natural means, simply because it is the "shortest or most easily navigated way." You've seen plenty of them in parks created by bikes or people cutting through long winding man-made paths.
  5. Phosphenes
These are the lights you see when you close your eyes and press your hands to them. Thought you were the only one this happened to? Well, fret no more!

Alright, I hope that was a nice kick starter to your day of non-LSAT fun. On the day before my exam I went to Disneyland with my friends. It was quite lovely and exhausting enough to help me battle my nerves and fall asleep the night before the exam! Don't be nervous. You've worked hard and are totally ready!

Good Luck!

(And for those of you not taking the exam tomorrow)

Happy Studying!
